Shri Bagalamukhi Mata Puja Vidhi

Shri Bagalamukhi Mata puja is performed for protection from enemies, victory in disputes, removal of negativity, courage, spiritual strength, and success. Maa Bagalamukhi is one of the ten Mahavidyas and is worshipped for her powerful protective energy.

Preparation

  • Take a bath early in the morning and wear clean yellow clothes

  • Clean the puja area properly

  • Place an idol or image of Maa Bagalamukhi on a clean platform

  • Decorate the altar with yellow cloth and yellow flowers

  • Sit facing east direction

  • Maintain silence and concentration during the puja

Required Items (Samagri)

  • Idol or image of Maa Bagalamukhi

  • Yellow flowers

  • Turmeric (Haldi)

  • Kumkum and Chandan

  • Akshat (rice)

  • Yellow cloth

  • Incense sticks (Agarbatti)

  • Ghee diya (lamp)

  • Camphor

  • Besan ladoo or yellow sweets

  • Bananas or yellow fruits

  • Coconut

  • Water pot or kalash

  • Mala for mantra chanting

Sankalp (Resolution)

  • Sit calmly with folded hands

  • Take a vow to perform Bagalamukhi Mata puja with devotion and purity

  • Pray for protection, victory, courage, and removal of obstacles

Dhyan (Meditation)

  • Close your eyes and meditate on Maa Bagalamukhi

  • Visualize her divine yellow form radiating protective energy

  • Focus your mind with complete faith and concentration

Avahan (Invocation)

  • Invite Maa Bagalamukhi to accept your worship

  • Offer yellow flowers and akshat

  • Chant 'Om Hleem Bagalamukhyai Namah' 11 or 21 times

Asana & Padya

  • Offer flowers as a symbolic seat

  • Sprinkle clean water for purification and welcome

Snan (Bathing Ritual)

  • Symbolically offer water or panchamrit to the idol or image

  • Clean the altar respectfully with devotion

Alankaar (Decoration)

  • Apply turmeric, kumkum, and chandan

  • Offer yellow flowers and decorate the deity with yellow cloth

  • Adorn the goddess respectfully and peacefully

Pushpanjali

  • Offer flowers with folded hands

  • Pray for strength, protection, victory, and removal of fear

Naivedya (Bhog)

  • Offer besan ladoo, bananas, yellow sweets, or gram flour preparations

  • Offer fruits and coconut with devotion

  • Pray to Maa to accept the bhog and bless the family

Dhoop & Deep

  • Light incense sticks

  • Light a ghee diya

  • Offer camphor aarti if available

Mantra Jaap

  • Chant 'Om Hleem Bagalamukhyai Namah' 11, 21, or 108 times

  • Advanced mantra sadhana should be done only under guidance of a qualified guru

  • Recite Bagalamukhi Stotra or Kavach if possible

Aarti

  • Perform Maa Bagalamukhi Aarti with devotion

  • Wave the diya in circular motion before the deity

  • Pray for divine protection and spiritual strength

Pradakshina

  • Circumambulate around the puja place 1 or 3 times

Pranam (Final Prayer)

  • Bow down before Maa Bagalamukhi

  • Seek blessings for courage, protection, success, and peace

Prasad Distribution

  • Distribute sweets and fruits as prasad among family members and devotees

Important Guidelines

Tuesday, Thursday, and Bagalamukhi Jayanti are considered highly auspicious for Maa Bagalamukhi worship. Yellow color is especially important in her puja. Worship should be done with purity, discipline, and peaceful intention. Avoid using spiritual practices for harmful purposes.
