Preparation
Take a bath early in the morning and wear clean clothes
Clean the puja area properly
Place Shri Gayatri Mata idol or image on a clean platform
Keep a calm and peaceful environment
Sit facing east or north direction
Preferably perform puja during Brahma Muhurat or sunrise

Avahan (Invocation)
Invite Gayatri Mata into your puja space
Offer flowers with devotion
Chant 'Om Bhur Bhuvah Swaha' or 'Om Gayatri Namah' 11 or 21 times
Asana & Padya
Offer flowers as a symbolic seat
Sprinkle water to purify and welcome the goddess
Snan (Bathing Ritual)
Gently sprinkle clean water on the idol or image
Offer milk or Panchamrit if available
Wipe gently with a clean cloth
Alankaar (Decoration)
Apply Chandan, Kumkum, and Haldi
Offer yellow or red flowers

Wave diya in circular motion before the goddess

Circumambulate around the puja space 1 or 3 times

Prasad Distribution

Important Guidelines
Gayatri puja is most effective when done during sunrise or Brahma Muhurat. Cleanliness, concentration, and pronunciation of mantra are very important. Regular chanting of the Gayatri Mantra is believed to enhance intellect and spiritual growth.
