Shri Lalita Mata Puja Vidhi

The worship of Maa Lalita is performed for attaining love, beauty, divine power, and spiritual growth. Maa Lalita Tripura Sundari is considered the divine form of Adi Shakti. Worship performed with devotion, purity, and a sincere heart brings happiness, peace, and prosperity into the devotee’s life.

Preparation

  • Take a bath in the morning and wear clean light red or pink clothes

  • Clean the worship area properly

  • Place an idol, image, or Shri Yantra of Maa Lalita on a clean platform

  • Sit facing east or north direction

  • Keep the mind calm and focused during worship

Required Items

  • Image or idol of Maa Lalita

  • Shri Yantra (optional)

  • Red or pink flowers

  • Kumkum

  • Turmeric

  • Sandalwood

  • Incense sticks

  • Ghee lamp

  • Fruits

  • Sweets

  • Coconut

  • Akshat (rice)

  • Betel leaves and betel nut

  • Water vessel

Sankalp (Resolution)

  • Sit calmly and take a vow to perform the worship

  • Pray for happiness, prosperity, and spiritual progress

  • Seek the grace and protection of Maa Lalita

Dhyan (Meditation)

  • Close your eyes and meditate on the divine form of Maa Lalita

  • Remember her peaceful, beautiful, and radiant appearance

  • Keep the mind focused on mantra chanting for some time

Avahan (Invocation)

  • Invite Maa Lalita to accept the worship

  • Chant 'Om Shreem Hreem Lalitambikayai Namah' 11 or 21 times

Asana & Padya

  • Offer flowers as a symbolic seat to the goddess

  • Offer clean water as a gesture of welcome

Snan (Bathing Ritual)

  • Offer clean water to the idol

  • Optionally bathe the idol with Panchamrit and purify again with water

Alankaar (Decoration)

  • Offer turmeric, kumkum, and sandalwood

  • Offer red or pink flowers

  • Offer decorative items with devotion

Naivedya (Offering)

  • Offer fruits, sweets, and coconut

  • Offer bhog to the goddess with devotion

Dhoop & Deep

  • Light incense sticks and offer fragrance

  • Light a ghee lamp

Mantra Chanting

  • Chant the mantra 'Om Aim Hreem Shreem Tripurasundaryai Namah'

  • Chant the mantra 108 times if desired

Aarti

  • Sing the Aarti of Maa Lalita

  • Perform Aarti by rotating the lamp in circular motion

Pradakshina (Circumambulation)

  • Circumambulate around the idol or Shri Yantra 1 or 3 times

Pranam (Final Prayer)

  • Bow before Maa Lalita and seek blessings

  • Pray for happiness, peace, and spiritual progress

Prasad Distribution

  • Distribute sweets and fruits as prasad

Important Guidelines

The worship of Maa Lalita is considered especially auspicious on Fridays, Full Moon days, and during Navratri. Worship of the Shri Yantra holds special significance. Maintain purity, discipline, and devotion during worship. True devotion is considered more important than ritual complexity.
