Shri Vaishno Devi puja is performed for protection, prosperity, spiritual strength, fulfillment of wishes, peace, and blessings of Maa Shakti. Mata Vaishno Devi is worshipped as a combined manifestation of Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, and Mahasaraswati.
Preparation
Take a bath early in the morning and wear clean clothes
Clean the puja area properly
Place an idol or image of Vaishno Devi on a clean platform
Decorate the altar with red cloth and flowers
Sit facing east or north direction

Avahan (Invocation)
Invite Vaishno Devi to accept your worship
Offer flowers and Akshat with devotion
Chant 'Om Aim Hreem Kleem Vaishno Devyai Namah' 11 or 21 times
Asana & Padya
Offer flowers as a symbolic seat
Sprinkle Gangajal or clean water for purification
Snan (Bathing Ritual)
Offer clean water or Gangajal to the idol or image
Optionally offer Panchamrit and then rinse with water
Alankaar (Decoration)
Apply Kumkum, Haldi, and Chandan
Offer red flowers and decorate with chunri

Recite Vaishno Devi Chalisa or Durga Saptashati if possible

Wave the diya in circular motion before the deity
Sing 'Jai Mata Di' with faith and devotion
Pradakshina
Circumambulate around the puja place 1 or 3 times

Prasad Distribution
Distribute sweets, coconut, and fruits as prasad among family members
Important Guidelines
Navratri, Fridays, Tuesdays, and Ashtami are considered highly auspicious for Vaishno Devi worship. Vaishno Devi Bhawan in Katra, Jammu and Kashmir, is one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites in India. Worship with devotion, purity, and sincere faith is considered most important.
