Shri Brahma Ji Puja Vidhi

Shri Brahma Ji puja is performed for wisdom, creativity, knowledge, spiritual understanding, and success in education and righteous activities. Lord Brahma is worshipped as the creator of the universe and the source of divine knowledge.

Preparation

  • Take a bath early in the morning and wear clean clothes

  • Clean the puja place properly

  • Place Shri Brahma Ji idol or image on a clean platform

  • Decorate the area with flowers and a clean cloth

  • Sit facing east or north direction

  • Maintain peace, purity, and devotion during the puja

Required Items (Samagri)

  • Idol or image of Lord Brahma

  • White or yellow flowers

  • Chandan paste

  • Kumkum and Haldi

  • Akshat (rice)

  • Incense sticks (Agarbatti)

  • Ghee diya (lamp)

  • Camphor

  • Milk and Panchamrit

  • Fruits and sweets

  • Kalash with clean water

  • Yellow or white cloth

  • Sacred thread (optional)

  • Mala for mantra chanting

Sankalp (Resolution)

  • Sit calmly with folded hands

  • Take a vow to perform Shri Brahma Ji puja with devotion and sincerity

  • Pray for wisdom, creativity, spiritual knowledge, and success

Dhyan (Meditation)

  • Close your eyes and meditate on Lord Brahma

  • Visualize the four-faced creator seated on a lotus

  • Focus on divine wisdom and peaceful thoughts

Avahan (Invocation)

  • Invite Lord Brahma to accept your worship

  • Offer flowers with devotion

  • Chant 'Om Brahmane Namah' 11 or 21 times

Asana & Padya

  • Offer flowers as a symbolic seat to Lord Brahma

  • Sprinkle water for purification and welcome

Snan (Bathing Ritual)

  • Sprinkle clean water on the idol or image

  • Optionally offer Panchamrit or milk

  • Gently wipe with a clean cloth

Alankaar (Decoration)

  • Apply Chandan, Kumkum, and Haldi

  • Offer flowers and garlands

  • Decorate with yellow or white cloth if available

Pushpanjali

  • Offer flowers with folded hands

  • Pray for wisdom, creativity, peace, and righteous living

Naivedya (Bhog)

  • Offer fruits, sweets, milk, or sattvic food

  • Pray for Lord Brahma to accept the offering with blessings

Dhoop & Deep

  • Light incense sticks

  • Light a ghee diya

  • Offer camphor if available

Mantra Jaap

  • Chant 'Om Chaturmukhaya Vidmahe Hamsarudhaya Dhimahi Tanno Brahma Prachodayat' 11, 21, or 108 times

  • Recite Brahma Stotra or Brahma Aarti if possible

Aarti

  • Perform Shri Brahma Ji Aarti with devotion

  • Wave the diya in circular motion before the deity

Pradakshina

  • Circumambulate around the idol or puja place 1 or 3 times

Pranam (Final Prayer)

  • Bow down before Lord Brahma

  • Seek blessings for wisdom, success, creativity, and spiritual growth

Prasad Distribution

  • Distribute fruits, sweets, and prasad among family members and devotees

Important Guidelines

Thursday and Kartik Purnima are considered auspicious for Lord Brahma worship. Pushkar in Rajasthan is one of the most famous places dedicated to Lord Brahma. Worship should be performed with purity, sincerity, and respect for knowledge and creation.
