The Ganga Mata Puja Vidhi is based on traditional Vedic and devotional worship practices. It includes purification, sankalp (resolution), invocation, water offering, flowers, lighting a lamp, mantra chanting, and aarti. This puja can be performed at home in front of an image or idol of Ganga Mata or a kalash filled with Gangajal. More important than detailed rituals are faith, purity of intention, and a sacred mind.

Important Guidelines
Use clean water and fresh materials in worship. Gangajal is considered highly sacred and should be handled with respect. Maintain purity of body and mind. Devotion is more important than ritual complexity. If performing puja at a riverbank, maintain cleanliness and avoid water pollution.
For simple daily worship, light a lamp, offer flowers to Ganga Mata, remember Gangajal, chant 'Om Gangayai Namah' 11 times, and perform a small aarti. Ganga Mata, pleased with sincere devotion, grants purification, merit, and peace.
